Elizabeth LaBue is Director of Agape Arts Collective, works as a Holistic Health Counselor, and has been teaching a variety of classes and workshops in the Tri-State Area for over ten years. Her training began as a four year old dancer who also enjoyed gymnastics. As she continued her training, nutrition had become an interest. At the age of thirteen, she became a vegetarian, and later, she graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Science degree in dance and a concentration in sacred, ethnic, and contemporary dance, cultural anthopology, and the healing arts. Her poetry and spoken word combines her passion for culture, religion, and the creative spirit with her love for expressive movement. She has begun graduate work in creative arts therapy, which combines the creative and expressive arts with counseling and psychosomatic (mind-body) practices, such as dance, yoga, movement, and meditation, and completed her counseling training at The New York Open Center's Holistic Health Counseling Program. She is certified in Dance, Pilates, Yoga, Meditation, Thai Massage, and Reiki from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Lenox, MA, The Physical Mind Institute in Santa Fe, NM, Al Turner Thai Massage Nuad Boran in NY, and the International Reiki Association. As a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, she has worked with established organizations such as The New York Open Center, N.Y. Kripalu, N.J. Total Health Center, The American Repertory (Princeton) Ballet, Princeton Center for Yoga & Health, St. Peter's Orphange, and Harlem Hospital. Elizabeth continues to work with a wide variety of clients and students to help educate them about health, healing, and happy living.
